Praying For Our Children I Acts 2:17

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God; I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams”

Circumstances of this world are seeking to shape our children into an environment of lost values, we are seeing hopelessness, confusion and a spirit of darkness being poured out and there is only one way that we can wash the darkness away; it is by an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Jesus, the light of the world will expel the darkness.

The adversary, in his fury, is trying to capture as many of our children as he can because his time is short. Rev. 12:12 “…The Devil has come down to you having great wrath, because he knows he has a short time.”

We are facing an adversary who desires to steal, kill and destroy starting with our children. There is a trumpet call that is being blasted; it is a cry for the soldiers of the cross to answer the battle cry. Will you respond?

Jeremiah 29:11-14 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. [12] Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. [13] And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. [14] And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

Prayer is pivotal if we are to appropriate the promises of God. What does God say?  You will seek me and find me – when- when you search for me with all your heart. Then what will happen? God says I will be found of you and I will bring you back from captivity.

Jeremiah 31:15-17 Thus saith the Lord; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rachel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not. [16] Thus saith the Lord; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the Lord; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. [17] And there is hope in thine end, saith the Lord that thy children shall come again to their own border.

What a certainty we have- victory, what a mighty deliverer we have in our God, he is a man of War and he will rescue his children. Our children will return to their borders no matter how far they have drifted.

I ask again, will you answer the call? Will you stand in the gap for the children of this world.  Prayer is work, but the benefit of hard work is a pay day, a day when there will be no more tears. Start today by praying for an outpouring of the Spirit of God on our children.
