Who Me?  I  Philippians 4:13

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Today is one week into our three weeks of fasting. I know you weren’t sure you could make it but now you are here one third of the way through and I pray that God has been speaking to your heart as you have spent time reading your bible and praying. As you enter into week two I want you to remind you of the scripture God has given to us in Philippians 4:13  “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

You can make it hang in there the best is yet to come!

From the beginning of time Satan has always tried to destroy the plan of God. In his attempt he deceived Adam and Eve. And because of that deception eternity has been altered. But God has a purpose and a plan that will not be defeated. We are included in that plan; He wants to use us to change the world.

Change the world? Come on do you know what you are saying I am having trouble with my own little piece of geography how can God use me to change the world?

We start by praying. I always remember the words spoken by David Wilkerson they left a lasting impact on my life he said “You can never win a man out on the street until you win him on your knees”

When we are faithful in prayer we are sharing in God’s plan to change the world. Throughout every generation there has been a praying saint that has altered the course of history. Yes a praying saint not a perfect saint.

It is not age, experience, talent or wealth that makes a difference in the destiny of mankind; it is prayer alone that will change the world.

When we read the stories in the bible, victory was always preceded by prayer.

Remember the story of Gideon just as the crops were in the ground the invading armies would come and invade and destroy their crops, steal from them and they would kill at will. Isn’t that the way life seems sometimes; as soon as I take one step forward it seems like something happens to push me back.

God selected a young man named Gideon to save His people. The people probably said Gideon is going to save us? He was as shocked as they were. He was not a warrior he was a farmer.

Gideon’s response was who me Lord, I’m scared, who am I, are you sure Lord? Me? But God said, Yes Gideon you. “Go in the strength that you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand, Am I not sending you?”

Gideon prayed and God gave him clear instruction on what he was to do. The enemy was destroyed the battle was won the people were set free and God received the honor and glory.

We can be like Gideon and say, who me Lord, are you sure? God’s response is yes, I am the God of the unqualified. I will never call you to something that I do not equip you for.

God is just looking for a man or a woman who will say yes.

Will you say yes to the Commander of the battle, Will you be a part of Gods plan for the destiny of your family, church, community, nation and the world?

Take some time today and talk to God. Let him reassure you that yes you are the one I have chosen to change the world one person at a time.
