DON’T FRET!

“Seek ye, first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”  Matthew 6:33

Don’t fret.  Yet, sometimes I do.  Not intentionally, but I still do.

We are to trust God to do what HE is going to do.  It’s hard at times, I’ll admit.  When there are things going on beyond our control…when it looks like there is no end to the problem…no light to be seen at the end of the tunnel…all those clichés that come to mind…that you can think of to fit your present dilemma; but we are to trust God to come through.   He always does.  Oh, maybe not in our time…or the way we think He should…but He always takes care of us.

My problem is, I usually want to tell Him how and when to do it.

I forget in those times of trouble that He made the worlds and everything in them!  When I look at it in the right perspective, it is ludicrous thinking on my part to believe He ‘needs’ my help in or far anything!   He doesn’t!

But, I have to do my part.  For example, if I need a job, I can’t just sit at home and hope one falls into my lap.  I have to “put feet to my prayers” and go look for one, believing He will provide one for me.

It may seem that I am lecturing you…but I’m really preaching to myself.

There are many things I need from God…RIGHT NOW!  …But I must trust that He will provide for me in His time…without fretting about it.

Here’s a little poem that goes along with today’s Scripture.  I think for me, it should be one of those ‘refrigerator notes’ to remind me constantly.  It goes like this:

“I would be quiet, Lord; nor fear…nor fret; Not one small need of mine wilt Thou forget!” -Unknown

Life is much easier if we trust God!
