Genesis 3:14-15
The LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, Cursed are you more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you will go, And dust you will eat All the days of your life; And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.”
This can’t be it!
It’s all too wrong!
This world’s gone topsy-turvey!
And when you voice that view out loud…
Folks think you’re being nervy!
But, read the paper if you dare…
Or listen to the news;
The things you hear will make you sick,
And maybe blow your fuse!
Students, having sex with teachers,
Sordid, hidden affairs, involving Famous TV preachers!
Disease and pestilence, with no known cure…
Oceans, tainted and polluted, no longer pure!
Child abuse, and neglect on the rise…
Careers more important…the family’s demise!
Abortion, rape and murder…
Things now learned at a young age;
Some learn these things within their own homes,
From their drunken father’s rage!
High School students, killed in accidents,
Due to alcohol and drugs…
Drive by shootings, day by day
Done by gangsters, and little thugs!
Crack houses, and Meth labs
Found in neighborhoods of respect;
So…you think you KNOW your neighbors?
HA! Everyone, now is suspect!
There’s Doggy Day Care, and Pet cemetery plots…
While we let countless numbers of the human race,
Live homeless under the bridge and rot!
Half the world is starving to death…
But we throw good food away;
Animal activists, rally for the rights of our “Dumb Friends”,
But who speaks for the unborn that
Are aborted by the millions every day?
Sunday school teachers, and preachers alike
Molesting their parishioners’ children…
Instead of being the Shepherds of the Flock,
They’re now known as the villains!
Then there’s this “preacher”, from my home state,
Marching against the gays…
Picketing our dead soldiers funerals,
With mindless followers…crazed!
The worst part is, he encourages
His followers to join in and participate!
Instead of teaching them the LOVE OF GOD…
He’s teaching them to hate!
And how about the barren woman,
So desperate and wild…
Slicing open a pregnant woman
For her unborn child?
Now, as if things here aren’t bad enough…
Here…in our own little “Pea Patch”…
Just look at news around the world…
You’re sure to find a match!
Religious leaders, condoning terrorist acts,
All in the Name of God;
Acts of atrocity, by one nation against another…
“Holy Wars”, known as Jihad!
No regard for your neighbor…
No sense of fair play;
Remember how 911 left countless widowed and fatherless?
In case you haven’t noticed…
This world is in a deplorable mess!
Incest, same gender marriage, and middle school
Aged girls having babies…
No regrets, no remorse, no promises kept…
The best we can do now is just, “UMM…maybe…”
No right or wrong…no black or white…
Everything now is just gray.
Words like: Values, Self- Control, and Integrity,
Aren’t politically correct to say!
The uneducated and poor,
As well as the rich, with degrees,
Use alcohol and drugs for depression…
The worldwide, pandemic disease!
Instead of giving discipline,
With love…like God commands,
People just put their kids in a dark closet,…
Or maybe a dog kennel, until they “understand”!
What about the mom that strapped her kids into car seats,
And then drove them into the lake?
…People! …WAKE UP!
WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE????
And let’s talk about that, one-eyed monster…
That thing, we call TV;
You can turn to almost any channel,
And see pornography!
IT’S EVIDENT WHAT’S LACKING HERE….
It’s GOD that we are needing!
Because, from what I see…
THIS, is more like hell…I’m SURE it isn’t Eden!!!
