THE WORST (HELL) VS THE BEST (HEAVEN)…

By Anita Mondragon
Many folks say they are a Christian.  They go to church.  They sing in the congregation or the choir.  They are on the board of Elders.  Maybe they hold the title of Deacon, Usher, Teacher, or even Pastor.  They look holy.  They “talk the talk”…some of them even “walk the walk.” ….

PRECIOUS MEMORIES OF LOVED ONES, NOW GONE…

By Anita Mondragon

On Memorial Day, we visited the graves of my in-laws and my parents. It was bitter-sweet…

I knew my daddy wasn’t there…only the remains of his mortal body were laid to rest beneath the cool dewy grass; and even though it’s been nearly twenty years…my wounds from his passing seemed fresh.

JESUS…THE HOPE OF THE WORLD!

By Anita Mondragon

Have you watched the news lately?  The world is at war.  Not only out-and-out war with one nation against another…but people in general are at war with their neighbors, friends, spouses, and family! Courts are full of divorce cases, domestic abuse, civil suites, assault, theft, rape, murder.  Fights springing up out of nowhere over petty things, ending up in murder.  Abuse of every kind-alcohol, drug, sexual, physical, verbal-all on the rise.  The world, and I’m talking about those that do not have the Hope of Jesus, is drenched in anger…rage.  They are living for the moment, casting up their dirt and mire, wallowing in self pleasures of today because they have no hope of a better tomorrow.

FOLLOW THE WHISPER!

By Anita Mondragon
Years ago, during one of my many rebellious times, while at work one day, I became momentarily distracted by something just outside my window.  As I watched, the cotton from a grove of Cotton Wood trees floated gently through the air.   You could faintly hear the quiet motion of the leaves rustling softly in the warm breeze.  It was a beautiful sight!  So calm and serene.

PEACE…PEACE! WONDERFUL PEACE!

By Anita Mondragon

The peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”  Phil. 4:7

This is the promise I drew for today from my box of Promises.  Sounds pretty easy to grab hold of…right?

DO YOU WANT PEACE?

By Anita Mondragon
The following poem was written in honor of my dad.  He was a preacher of the Gospel for over forty years, and many times his ministry took him to the Rescue Mission here in downtown Denver.

What a great prayer! As Believers, this is the kind of stuff we should be seeking God for on a daily basis!
