Treasured Time

Treasured Time

I sit with you
I wait
My thoughts center on you
Your majesty
Your splendor
Your glory
Your love
With every breath, you draw me
The world around me fades
Your peace starts to surround me
I breathe it in
It fills me
I smile
I rest
I am renewed
I am centered in You
You alone are my peace
My hope
My strength
My rock
My refuge
Thank you Lord
I need you everyday
You supply my every need
I treasure this time with you
Whether it’s 5 minutes or 20
Because of You Lord
I am ready for the day
A Lord and life inspired poem by PoetforHisglory (Mark Hays)

A Poem By Mark Hays

A poem of thankfulness by PoetforHisglory (Mark Hays)
Thank you Jesus!

UNTITLED

Love has come
Love has won
Because of Jesus
He laid down His life
To free us of the strife,
Of sin
The cost He paid,
So He could save,
Those who believe
He rose on that 3rd day,
Overcoming death and the grave,
Now death has no more sting
If you believe in Him,
You are freed from sin,
Set free,
Glory be
So don’t hesitate,
Embrace the Love He gave,
and gives to this day
I lift my hands and my voice,
I declare I made a choice,
A long time ago
To love and follow my Savior,
He is my strength,
I have seen and still need,
the length,
of His grace and mercy
My Savior is all,
I love Him in winter, spring, summer, and fall,
To Him I give my praise,
Every day
For His love has won the victory,
and to that I shout…GLORY!!

The Rock of Ages

By Anita Mondragon:

Do you ever feel the oppression of the whispers of hate that come against you?  At times, the words of accusation  from the enemy are so thick and heavy, you fall beneath the load of it all.  I admit I do.  But the Bible says, “No weapon that is formed against me will prosper…”  It goes one to say that, “every tongue that rises against me in judgment GOD will condemn”.  That verse is found in Isa. 54:17

This is something we all as Believers need to remember!  The persecution of the modern day church is just beginning here in America.  Up to this present time, we have had the right to worship and speak the truth of God’s Word…but those days are coming to an end.  Our rights are disappearing one by one every single day!

This is not a political view, it was written years ago in the Bible.  At the end times, the Believer WILL suffer at the hands of the god of this world and his false prophet.

The end is near.  The antichrist and all his cohorts are about to be revealed.  Those whispers of oppression and hate will soon be shouted in the streets!  False accusations will become the norm for the followers of Christ.  But God Almighty Himself will step in and condemn those that persecute His children!

It’s time to remember God’s promises.  Keep the Faith!  Stay true to God’s Word!  Don’t fall beneath the load of oppression!  God WILL vindicate His people!

STAND FIRM on the ROCK OF AGES!  For though we tremble in these times of uncertainty, HE NEVER trembles under us!  Remember the words to that old hymn…

Rock Of Ages
Cleft For Me
Let Me Hide Myself In Thee!

Run to the ROCK which is Jesus Christ.  He’s a shelter in the storms of life!

I Will Run the Race

I will set my face to the rising sun
Of this blessed day, I will run.

With my Grace Armor on, I will take my place
And run like I’ve never run!

Although the prize is given not only to the quick,
But also to the lame, sad and the sick.

With God’s help, I can win this race,
With endurance filled with “His” grace.

With anticipation of the prize
Steadfast in my heart,

I will run with “Loves seed”, that was planted
At the start of the life that was given to me.

Yoked to Him, with peace and joy
That each morning brings,

I can face this day as I run and I sing
The praises meant for my King!

Trials

By Anita Mondragon:

Years ago, I attended a church where my friends and I created a devotional book.  Here is one of the poems written in that book. I share it with you now, because of the troubled times we have been living in at present.  Take it to heart…God never goes back on His promises!

The LORD will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.  -Psalm 138:8

TRIALS

These trials and troubles,
Don’t take them to heart;
For God has ordained you
And set you apart.

His purpose for you
Is more than you know…
His mercy and goodness
On YOU He’ll bestow!

Just rest in His arms
‘Till these trials are through…
He’ll show you His mercy
And what He can do!

He’s the calm in the storm.
He’s the Spotless Lamb.
He’s all that you need!
He’s the great I Am.

He’s the gust in the wind.
He’s the wind in the sail.
He will give you His peace…
And His peace NEVER fails!

He hasn’t forgotten,
Because His Word is true;
And He WILL fulfill
ALL He’s promised to you!

HE’S MORE THAN A FATHER…HE’S MY DADDY!

By Anita Mondragon:

Here’s something I pulled from my Promise Box this morning.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. -Eph. 1:3

It reminded me that I need to give God Almighty the honor and glory He deserves…for He, indeed has given me everything!  All that I have comes from Him…even down to my children.  So this morning, I want to give it all back to Him, and trust that He will take care of everything.

I want to share this little moment with all of you…it was so precious to me!  About five years ago, my youngest and I were having a conversation about God and His goodness to us…how He blesses us, and forgives us over and over, again and again.  My heart stirred as I heard him say, “He’s really a good daddy, isn’t he!  Is it OK if I call Him that?…. If I call Him daddy?”

No wonder Jesus said, “suffer (allow) the little children to come unto Me, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven…”-Matthew 19:14
That is the kind of faith we are all supposed to have in our Heavenly Father!

Sometimes, I think I’ve failed as a mother, when I see my children go astray from the things they were taught as a child, but then God reminds me that He is in control;  He does it ever so gently when he lets me hear words like…”He really is a good daddy, isn’t He!  Is it OK if I call Him that?…. If I call Him daddy?”

Here’s the poem that went with the above verse:

“We give Thee but Thine own,
Whatever the gift may be;
All that we have is Thine alone,
A trust , O Lord, from Thee.”-Unknown

If you’re worried about your children, or anything…just give it back to “YOUR DADDY!”  And know for a certainty that He will take care of it all!

Power of Three

By Anita Mondragon:

XFINITY says the power of three is everywhere, and that includes its internet, wireless and streaming…

I want to talk to you about the power of three…and it has nothing to do with the internet, etc. I’m talking about the power of God Almighty, the power of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit you can have in your life. If you are a born again Believer, YOU possess the power of these three! God sent His Son for you, Jesus lives in you, and the Holy Spirit was sent to help you! You have daily access to plug into this power by reading your Bible, prayer, and putting on the whole armor of God.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord (God) and in the strength of his might.” -Eph. 6:10
“Therefore God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, that at the mention of the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of those in heaven, those on earth and those under the earth and that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father…
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”-Acts 1:8
Ephesians 6:11-18
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Do you want to have unlimited power with God? Then plug into the POWER OF THREE!

Pretty Sure…or Certain

By Anita Mondragon:

Rocket Mortgage has a new commercial out with this quote.  The new commercial states that, “Certain is better!”  The Bible agrees with this idea in regards to your Salvation!  It says, “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.” ‭‭I John‬ ‭5:13‬ ‭NKJV

God wants us to be certain of our salvation!

As may of you already know, my dad was a preacher for over forty years.  Every Thursday night, the whole church would go out on Church Visitation.  We’d go door to door and talk to folks about Salvation.  We always asked the question… “Do you KNOW you are saved and on the way to Heaven?”  We got various answers to this question.  Some folks would adamantly say “YES”.  Some would say, “I don’t know…”  Others would reply, “I’m pretty sure I am…I sure hope so!”

God wants us to be certain of our salvation in Him, otherwise the devil can have a field day making us doubt that we have indeed been washed in the Blood of the Lamb.   It says in Romans 10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  There is CERTAINITY in that verse!  God promised that if we called on Him with a contrite heart, and repented of our sins, and asked Him to save us…He would.  No doubts.

Don’t go through life doubting and wondering if your salvation is secure.  Jesus said in John 10:28-30 :
28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”

God said it.  BELIEVE IT AND BE CERTAIN OF YOUR SALVATION!

SAME SONG…SECOND VERSE

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me… -John 10:27

My mom had a saying for my brother and I.  We heard it over and over during our growing up years.  She would tell us WHAT to do, and HOW to do something…but being like most children, we did it our own way; then we would have to go back and do it like she taught us.  That’s when we’d hear these words, “I asked you to do it THIS way, and you did it your own way, so now it’s time for the SAME SONG…SECOND VERSE!”

I’ve had a few of those same ‘learning’ moments with my Heavenly Father.  I clearly heard His voice direct me to go a certain way, but I decided my way was better….  So the ‘lesson’ has been brought back around several times until I listen and learn.  In my some instances, I’ve had to hear the same song clear up to the 5th verse before I’d do it God’s way!  I’m sure I’m not alone in this!

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for a new song!  But the only way this will happen is if I learn the first time.  I’m trying more and more each day to hear the voice of God, and follow His instructions!  It’s not always easy, but if I want to learn a different song…a NEW song, then I must listen and obey.

Who else is ready for a new song?  Then let’s seek the voice of God, listen with our hearts, and obey His will implicitly…

WHO’S WITH ME??

Consolation and Spiritual Suffering

By Anita Mondragon

I saw this on Facebook, and was able to relate.  I have been in this place more than once, but when I become still and remember that God is still in control, I am able to wait for His help in my situation.  Just wanted to share this because I know I’m not alone in these feelings.
*****

great quote from one of Charles Spurgeon’s sermon, Consolation Proportionate to Spiritual Sufferings.  Here is the verse he was preaching from:

2 Corinthians 1:5, NLT: “For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.”

Delivered on Sabbath Morning, March 11, 1855, by the
REV. C.H. SPURGEON
At Exeter Hall, Strand.

“There is a man here quite despairing-almost every hope gone. Brother, shall I tell thee what to do? Thou hast fallen off the main deck, thou art in the sea, the floods surround thee; thou seemest to have no hope; thou catchest at straws; what shalt thou do now? Do? why lie upon the sea of trouble, and float upon it; be still, and know that God is God, and thou wilt never perish. All thy kicking and struggling will sink thee deeper; but lie still, for behold the life-boat cometh; Christ is coming to thy help; soon he will deliver thee, and fetch thee out of all thy perplexities.”

-C.H. Spurgeon

One Response to “Forgiven- A Daily Devotional”

  1. Anita says:

What a great prayer! As Believers, this is the kind of stuff we should be seeking God for on a daily basis!
Thanks for the reminder sister Francine!
