Victory Over Condemn – Nation

By Mark Hays

I walked this life a far from perfect man,
made many mistakes almost any way you can;
I’ve fallen short of the glory of God,
I’ve dwelled on these things which led me to trod;
To a nation called Condemn
Made up of all my faults, each residents,
that remind me of my sin,

WHAT DOMINATES YOUR THOUGHTS?

By Anita Mondragon

Do you wake up with worry on your mind, and fall asleep the same way?

Do you have giants in your life that you feel you face alone?

Are there monsters in your soul that try to take control?

Are you taunted with folks you can’t seem to please?

Do you find it hard to face your future because of your past mistakes?

If you’ve answered “yes” to any of the above, be sure…there is a solution!

Breathe My Name

By Anita Mondragon

Well, we are back from our short little vacation.  It was awe-inspiring!  The scenery down in the San Luis Valley is unbelievable!!  You always hear about Montana being ‘the big sky country’…well, I’m here to tell you that I’ve never seen so much sky as I did on this trip! I really needed this, and didn’t even know how much until I tried to take it all in.

While on this jaunt, we stayed at a motel with a pool.  Our son loves frolicking in the water, and he’s getting pretty good at swimming.

The Boat

By Unknown

My husband, Mike saw this on Facebook and passed it along.  Good advice that we should all pay heed to!  There was no name to accompany the post…

The Boat…

A certain man was offered a job to paint a small fishing boat. He earnestly brought his paint and brushes from his workshop and began to paint the boat a bright red, just as the owner asked him.
While painting, he noticed a small hole in the hull, and upon surveying the damage, he quietly repaired it.
When he finished painting, he notified the owner of the completed paint job, received his money and left.
The next day, the owner of the boat returned to the paint shop and came to the painter and presented him with a nice check, which was much higher in addition to the payment for the original painting job.

PRAISE TO THE CREATOR!

By Anita Mondragon

I wrote the following while on a fishing trip with my husband,  We went to Estes Park, and the landscape was awe-inspiring, showing the greatness of God!  Enjoy!

PRAISE TO THE CREATOR!

The grass so green,
The sky so blue;
The birds on wing,
All speak of YOU!

The soft blowing breeze,
The choir of birds,
Each sings their praise
Without any words.

But YOU, oh Lord
Know the language of bees…

The Recurring Battle

By Mark Hays

Hey yall. This is a follow up to my addiction poem that I did the video. It is still a battle that an addict understands but I’m going to the Lord every day to overcome it!

The Recurring Battle
Addiction is the opposite of a benediction,
I’m not speaking fiction,
For with apprehension,
I face the tension,
of this addiction,
that is constant temptation

Which I fight every day,
constantly on replay,
which is the price I pay,
for beginning this foray,
of destruction

Do You Want Peace??

By Anita Mondragon

When I was 13, my dad used to preach in the Rescue Mission downtown.  He would make my brother and I go as well.  I hated it!  Until one night, something happened that would change my life forever.  Years later, I wrote this poem about that night…   I share it with you now.

DO YOU WANT PEACE???

He wakes up in the alley,
Vomit, crusted on his face.
Propped up against the dumpster,
Thinking, “How did I get
to this place?”

He slowly stands,
And shakes himself off,
Trying to remember…
He used to have a home and family…
A loving wife, so tender.

You Are A Light

By Mark Hays

You are a light,
No words can harm you
If you know in your heart that’s right;
People may try to tear you down,
But in the Lord you are found;
Safe and strong,
to Him you belong;
Do not let the wrongs
Change your song;
Let the light in you
Break the chains in two;
Shine your light for the world to see
And sing the song of the Redeemed joyfully,
It will set you free

The Answer to Betrayal

By Mark Hays

Have you ever trusted,
and somebody abused that trust,
Just took it,
and kicked it in the dust;

And you swore you’d never trust again,
because the pain was too great
and you cry within;

You fear opening up will just bring a fall,
because you’ve seen it once,
and it applies to all;

I’VE JUST SAILED AROUND THE BEND…

By Anita Mondragon

I’ve been thinking a lot about Heaven lately.  There is so much unrest and violence in the earth, sometimes I just want to go HOME!

I had the privilege of being with my grandpa, and years later, my mother-in-law when Jesus sent His angels to take them Home.  It was very peaceful when they passed from this life to the next!  I’ve often thought that
if they could send me a postcard from Heaven, all it would say is:  “WISH YOU WERE HERE!”  This thinking made me remember a poem I wrote a few years back.  It is entitled:

I’VE JUST SAILED AROUND THE BEND…

There in the quietness
Of that hospital’s stark whiteness,
With pain so intense, it made the body numb;
Where the smell of death scented the air…
They were quiet…but I heard them come.

  1. Anita says:

    What a great prayer! As Believers, this is the kind of stuff we should be seeking God for on a daily basis!
    Thanks for the reminder sister Francine!
