A couple of days ago, I posted a blog entitled: “Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Satan!”
I knew there would be repercussions…because I heard him (satan) say, “Don’t write that!…. Don’t confront me this way…” But, that is what REAL combat is all about; the face to face kind…the hand to hand combat for the Kingdom of God. I don’t mean MY hand…I’m talking about my hand in God’s hand, going against the enemy!
“…Not by (my) might, not by (my) power…but by MY (God) Spirit, says the Lord”…that’s how we win battles with the enemy! It’s more than combat-it’s WAR!
Then, yesterday, I blogged about fighting the GOOD fight. I meant to ‘light a fire’ under all of us complacent Christians, myself included. Well…I ended up lighting a fire under satan as well!
I told you all that, to say this…
My husband usually gets up around 3:00-3:15 each morning. It’s his time to relax, look at his Facebook page, and have some quiet time with God.
I heard him get up, but thought nothing of it, knowing he’d come back to bed shortly. When he did, I barely stirred.
Then he said very loudly, “Hey…I heard something!” He’s usually quiet, so as not to disturb me; so naturally, he had my immediate attention.
I asked, “What did you hear?”
He said, “Just as I opened my eyes, I heard satan’s voice speaking to me.”
“You did?” I asked.
“Yes!” he answered.
“What did he say to you?” I inquired.
He said… “I want your wife’s tongue!”
I actually laughed out loud, and said, “Oh he does…does he?”
Then my husband went on; “I wasn’t going to tell you…I didn’t want you to be afraid!”
I told him not to worry because those days of fearing the enemy were gone for me, and had been for some time! That seemed to make him feel better, so he went on.
“I want this to encourage you! You must continue what you’re doing. Don’t let him silence you! Stay the course!! …Because, when he said he wanted your tongue, there was a deeper application to his meaning…he wants your voice…the message behind your words…he hates it!”
We talked for a while, then my husband said this… “Immediately after I heard Satan’s voice…I heard God say to me: ‘You tell him (the devil) that he can’t have her tongue because she belongs to ME and she’s covered by the blood of Yeshua!’
WOW! That put a fire under me for sure! I LOVE being God’s mouthpiece!
I guess I wanted to tell you all this to reassure you that, satan’s bark…is worse than his bite! In fact…he’s all bark and no bite!
See- Isaiah 14:15-17. This is speaking of satan: 15″Nevertheless you will be thrust down to Sheol, To the recesses of the pit. 16″Those who see you will gaze at you, They will ponder over you, saying, ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms, 17Who made the world like a wilderness And overthrew its cities, Who did not allow his prisoners to go home?’
…he (the devil) can’t touch us unless God allows it-like he did with Job. So don’t be afraid to meet him (the devil) head on! Just make sure you have all your armor on, and put your hand in the hand of God…then let HIM (God) fight the battle for you!
My prayer is that God will continue to speak through me, and that you will allow Him to speak through you! If you KNOW Jesus as your Savior, then you ARE a soldier in His army…and be sure…YOU ARE AT WAR with the enemy!
Be blessed in the Lord today, all my fellow comrades! Take your sword, the Word of God, and tear up the kingdom of darkness! In the Name of JESUS!
