LEARN YOUR LESSON!

By Anita Mondragon
2To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; 3To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; 4To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. 5A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: 6To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. 7The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. 8My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:” -Proverbs 1:2-8

Do you ever wonder “Why?” certain types of people keep crossing your path? …People that irritate you, try your patience, frustrate, aggravate, and in general, just drive you completely crazy?

Then, there are the others that you can’t seem to get enough of; they are kind, courteous, loving, caring, and share words of wisdom that you never seem to forget no matter how long you live.

I read this little quote years ago, and I’m not sure who it was that said it, but the older I get, I find it to be true. Take a look…

“Every person God puts in our life, is the perfect preparation for the future only He can see.” -Unknown

We need to learn something from every person that crosses our path! Perhaps, it is a picture of what we should be…OR maybe God has us meet certain folks to show us what we should NOT be. Whatever the case…look closely, and ask God what you should learn from every experience…every meeting. Be sure- there is a lesson to be learned.

I think the folks that continue to cross my path over and over again, do so because I have not yet learned the lesson God has for me!

I want this year to be different…I want to learn my lessons right away and avoid frustration!

Now…who’s with me?
