The other day, I was watching a TV show and heard a very profound statement.  It said this:

I surveyed the view before me, the rising sun casting its colored hues across the sky, the snow-covered mountains in the distance, a flock of birds winging their way through the expanse….  The beauty of it all was overwhelming!  God made the world, and all that is in it, plus the galaxies in six (6) days!  I had to wonder, if this is only a shadow of what’s to come…what must Heaven look like? He’s been gone for over 2,000 years preparing a place for us!  Wow!  I was reminded of the passage in John 14…

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. -KJV

Years ago, I remember seeing a T-shirt that read, “I’ve gone to My Father’s House.  We’re building you a mansion there. I’ll be back soon to get you!  Love, Jesus”

If we KNOW Jesus as our personal Savior, we are NOTW…Not of this world.  We are only passing through.  Our HOME is in Heaven!  So, when you get discouraged by the happenings of this present day world we live in, remember…you are not of this world, this world is only a shadow of what’s to come!  Rest in this fact…
