SAY SO!

By Anita Mondragon
I want to re-cap Pastor’s sermon yesterday. It was a reminder to all of us that have been rescued by God,  that we ought not to only bask in His Comfort…but remember he saved us so we could help others find their way to Him!

God comforts us…but He also CALLS us to share that comfort that only He can provide. Unfortunately, most of us get saved and then, like my dad used to say, we “Sit on our Blessed Assurance,” and never show others the way to peace!

Let’s look at the sermon notes for a minute. In Psalm 107, it say, “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever. Has the Lord redeemed you? THEN SPEAK OUT! TELL OTHERS HE HAS REDEEMED YOU FROM YOUR ENEMIES.” …SAY SO!

In verse 4 it says, “some wandered in the wilderness, lost and homeless…they nearly died. ‘Lord, help!’ they cried in their trouble, and He rescued them from their distress…..

10 Some sat in darkness and deepest gloom…’Lord, help!’ they cried in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress….

17 Some were fools; they rebelled and suffered for their sins…’Lord, help!’ they cried in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress….

23 Some went off to sea in ships, …the winds rose, stirring up the waves…the sailors cringed in terror…’Lord, help!’ they cried in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress.”

These all give reference to the comfort God gives when we call on Him for help.

Now, let’s look at Psalm 34:2-3. It says, “My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together!”

If you have been redeemed…saved…rescued by God Almighty, then SAY SO! SHOUT IT OUT TO THE WORLD so they can have the peace that you have!
