a.) Owned by his master
b.) Existed for his master

e.) A most honored and kingly profession (Jn. 12:26; Eph. 6:6-7; Col. 3:23-24; Heb. 12:28; Deut. 10:12; Ps. 100:2)

2.) HE WAS AN APOSTLE OF GOD (ROM. 1:1)

a.) Called (Acts 26:16; 1 Tim 1:12; Ex. 3:10; Judges 6:14; Isa. 6:8)
b.) Heard and answered
c.) Two primary purposes:

1.) To serve and minister (Mt. 20:27-28; Lk. 10:36-37; Jn. 13:14; Gal. 6:10)
2.) To go forth and bear fruit (Mt. 3:8; Jn. 15:16; Ro. 7:4; Phil. 1:11; Col. 1:10; Ps. 1:3, 92:13)

3.) HE WAS SET APART TO THE GOSPEL OF GOD (ROM. 1:1-4)

a.) The Gospel promised long ago (Jn. 5:39; Acts 26:22; Heb. 1:1; 1 Pet. 1:10-11; 2 Pet. 1:20-21)
b.) The Gospel is the incarnation of God’s son (Jn. 1:14; Heb. 2:14-18; 2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 4:15, 7:26; 1 Pet. 1:19, 2:22; Acts 2:24, 36, 5:30-31; Ro. 14:9; Eph. 1:20; Phil. 2:8-9)

4.) HE HAD RECEIVED GOD’S GRACE AND GOD’S MISSION (ROM. 1:5)

a.) We have received God’s grace: His favor: (Eph. 1:3-4; 2 Tim. 1:9; Titus 1:2; Rom. 3:24; Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 2:11; Phil. 4:19; 1 Tim. 1:14; Eph. 1:7, 2:7; Titus 3:7)
b.) We have received apostleship: His mission: “Obedience to the Faith”

5.) HE ACKNOWLEDGED THE ENSLAVEMENT OF OTHERS (ROM. 1:6-7)
