HE’S MORE THAN A FATHER…HE’S MY DADDY!

By Anita Mondragon:

Here’s something I pulled from my Promise Box this morning.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. -Eph. 1:3

It reminded me that I need to give God Almighty the honor and glory He deserves…for He, indeed has given me everything!  All that I have comes from Him…even down to my children.  So this morning, I want to give it all back to Him, and trust that He will take care of everything.

I want to share this little moment with all of you…it was so precious to me!  About five years ago, my youngest and I were having a conversation about God and His goodness to us…how He blesses us, and forgives us over and over, again and again.  My heart stirred as I heard him say, “He’s really a good daddy, isn’t he!  Is it OK if I call Him that?…. If I call Him daddy?”

No wonder Jesus said, “suffer (allow) the little children to come unto Me, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven…”-Matthew 19:14
That is the kind of faith we are all supposed to have in our Heavenly Father!

Sometimes, I think I’ve failed as a mother, when I see my children go astray from the things they were taught as a child, but then God reminds me that He is in control;  He does it ever so gently when he lets me hear words like…”He really is a good daddy, isn’t He!  Is it OK if I call Him that?…. If I call Him daddy?”

Here’s the poem that went with the above verse:

“We give Thee but Thine own,
Whatever the gift may be;
All that we have is Thine alone,
A trust , O Lord, from Thee.”-Unknown

If you’re worried about your children, or anything…just give it back to “YOUR DADDY!”  And know for a certainty that He will take care of it all!

Power of Three

By Anita Mondragon:

XFINITY says the power of three is everywhere, and that includes its internet, wireless and streaming…

I want to talk to you about the power of three…and it has nothing to do with the internet, etc. I’m talking about the power of God Almighty, the power of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit you can have in your life. If you are a born again Believer, YOU possess the power of these three! God sent His Son for you, Jesus lives in you, and the Holy Spirit was sent to help you! You have daily access to plug into this power by reading your Bible, prayer, and putting on the whole armor of God.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord (God) and in the strength of his might.” -Eph. 6:10
“Therefore God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, that at the mention of the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of those in heaven, those on earth and those under the earth and that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father…
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”-Acts 1:8
Ephesians 6:11-18
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Do you want to have unlimited power with God? Then plug into the POWER OF THREE!

ONLY ONE LOVE

By Esther Hernandez

The love I knew is no more.  Broken promises are what’s left – mine and his.  Fear, anxiety, worthlessness, disconnect and an overwhelming and confused feeling have quickly joined the bitterness in my soul.

The means to escape this valley of death to my purpose and worth is nowhere near.  Until at last a ray of light broke through the darkness.  Hope showed me the way out of that dark and lonely hole.

The warmest most loving hand lifted me to my feet. “I’ll never leave you.  My promises are true.  I’ll be your Father and Friend.  I’ll be your Companion and Husband too.” Read more…

A Square Peg and  A Round Hole

by Anita Mondragon

I found myself a little more than annoyed this morning when I was awakened by these words:  “You can’t fit a square peg into a round hole…”  This phrase played over and over in my mind like a stuck record.

I was in a sweet slumber, reveling in the warmth of my fuzzy blanket, when those words shattered my peace!  Finally I said out loud, “What are you talkin’ about Lord?”

Some of you may ask how I knew it was the Lord.  Well, that’s the way He talks to me.  My mind always has a million tasks I need to finish…a long list of things going through it at any given time, so God has to sound like a broken record before I hear Him.

That being said, the next words I heard were, “Get up and start writing.”  Read more…

God, IN you!

By Anita Mondragon

At times, we of the lower middle class look at those more financially fortunate than ourselves, and envy what they have.

We wish our house was larger, our car newer, our bank account more substantial.  Even Christians find themselves always wishing for more.  It is a malady of the human spirit.  We never seem to be satisfied!

Row, Row, Row Your Boat

By Anita Mondragon

Do you ever find yourself tired…weary?  Do you feel at times that you are the only one in the boat, rowing towards the shores of Heaven?  I must confess that I do have these feelings from time to time.

I look at folks around me that are in the boat-on their way to Heaven, but they don’t seem to be rowing as hard as I am!  I don’t “row” to keep my Salvation, I “row” because Jesus has saved me from an awful fate, and I am forever grateful to Him for being rescued; but I am also tired, and in need of encouragement!

But God’s Word says: Read more…
