As I watch movies, the Lord really speaks to me and gives me a Spiritual perception as to what is being said.  I was watching a Robin Hood movie yesterday.  At one point, he and his men were going to go against the evil sheriff of Nottingham.  He made this statement to bolster the men in their resolve-for they were few in comparison.  He said, “Rise and rise again until lambs become lions.”  

 

Immediately this brought a Scripture to mind.  It is found in Proverbs 24:16, ” for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.”

So, what does that mean exactly?  It means:  Get Up, Don’t Give Up!  Don’t wallow in your failure, for the LORD is on your side!

 

How many times, as a Believer have we gone against the evil forces of darkness-fearful of their power…forgetting that the Lord is on our side?  We can’t go in our own strength for we are but sheep.  However, if we call on the Good Shepherd to stand with us, there is no stopping us.  We become lions on the battlefield!

Later on, in the movie as the sheriff of Nottingham was inquiring guidance from his witch, she advised him to, “Call on the beasts who serve our God…” -speaking of the Celts.  We as Believers must learn to band together and call on OUR GOD in prayer, as we rise to do battle with the enemy!  

 

It’s ok if we falter.  We are human after all.  It’s ok if we fail…if we fall – as long as we don’t stay down; we must rise again!  We are the sheep of Jesus’ pasture, but in the battle against the enemy, we must become the lions!
