We’re glad you’ve chosen to find out more about Praise Center Church through the Connexion Classes! The Connexion Classes are a series of 4 interactive classes that take place once a year on a rotation schedule with one class per month.

What Is Connexion?

con•nex•ion (ku’nek-shun) noun; a group of persons united by a body of distinct beliefs or practices; a circle of like minded clients; a group of fellow worshippers.

The word connexion derives from the latin word connexión (stem of connexió) and is the foundation for our more common word used today, connection or root word connect.  Our Connexion series of classes is designed to do just that… connect you! Our desire is to first connect you with God, then connect you with the body of believers, and then spiritually prepare you to make positive life changing connections with others around you.

 This connection basis is clearly stated in our Praise Center Church Mission Statement: “To connect people to God and to each other, teaching, discipling and equipping them to serve.”
 
 

Connexion Class 101 – The Christian Life and Church Partnership.  This class is the basic introduction to our church family.  Since we have individuals from many different church backgrounds, this class is designed to clearly explain who and what our church is. This class is divided in four sessions of an hour each and is taught by our founding pastor, William A. Rodriguez and his wife Francine, who began the church in January of 1981. “…You are a member of God’s very own family…and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian.”  Eph.2:19 (LB)

 
 
     Connexion Class 201 – Growing In Christ – Spiritual Maturity. This class helps you focus on the Four Basic Habits every Christian needs to develop in order to grow to spiritual maturity – The Bible, Prayer, Tithing and Fellowship.  This class will equip you with the skills you need to begin these habits and explain the tools you need to continue these habits. ” … that you may become mature Christians and may fulfill God’s will for you.”  Colossians 4:12b (Ph)
 
 
 
 
  Connexion Class 301 – Your Life Purpose and Ministry Calling. This class is designed to help you understand the purpose that God has for you for by understanding the kind of person God created you do be.  This class focuses on Five Personal Factorsthat are combined to shape the “real” you.  By identifying the specific traits you possess, the ministry God has designed you for will become crystal clear! You will learn about all the ministry opportunities available at Praise Center through this class and how to connect yourself with the body of Christ.
“(God) has given… pastors and teachers to prepare God’s people for works of ministry, so the body of Christ may be built up.” Ephesians 4:11-12
 
 

Connexion Class 401 – Your Life Mission. In this class you will discover your God mandated Mission in this world. This class is broken up into four sessions: 1. Discovering God’s purpose for creating us. 2. How to share your story with others. 3. Fishing in your mission pond. 4. Becoming a World class Christian.  Through these four sessions you will become equipped with the tools and confidence necessary to commit your life to being a messenger of God’s Good news using your time, talents and treasure to make an impact in the world around you. “God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us to do good works, which He planned in advance for us to live our lives doing.”  Ephesians 2:10 (NCV)
