…BUT…IT CAN!

By Anita Mondragon

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

***********************************

Do you ever feel like nothing ever changes?  Everyday is the same?  You feel like you’re stuck in a rut and can’t get out?  Come on!  Be honest!  We’ve all been there!! ….Most of us are there right now!

You know…You’re stuck in a job that you can’t stand…If you’re a mom, no matter how many times you do dishes and laundry-there’s ALWAYS more! …No matter how hard you try, you can’t seem to lose weight…OR…Maybe it’s worse…You’re out of a job, and can’t seem to find one…You’re in an abusive relationship, and can’t get out…Maybe you’re homeless…Addicted to drugs or alcohol; Whatever YOUR rut may be, you hear yourself saying, “Nothing ever changes!”

Well, I’m here to tell you, “the rest of the story”…are you ready?  Next time you’re ready to say that sentence, remember to say the last part as well…“Nothing ever changes…BUT…IT CAN!”

The verse today says that IF we wait on the Lord…HE will renew our strength.  He’ll make our path easy so that we will not be weary; HE will keep us going!  We will soar above our problems and disappointments like the eagles of the air!

So…You want to get out of the rut you’re in?  Then call on the Lord…wait on Him.  Wait on His help!  Check out the following verse:

He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.-Psalms 40:2

He won’t only pull you out of your rut, He will put you in a stable place, and establish all that you do.  I looked up that word, and it has a couple of meanings:

To establish something means to begin it or bring it about. … Establish is related to stable through its Latin roots and has many meanings, but all have the feel of building on a stable foundation. Besides the meaning of setting a policy, establish can also mean to prove one’s value.

Today, when we feel like we are going to be buried in our rut…let’s look to the Lord, and wait upon Him…then…SOAR above it all, my friends!  …I’ll meet you in the clouds!

Anita
