How many times in your life have you felt like ‘throwin in the sponge’, giving up, ‘kickin’ the bucket’?  I know I’ve been there many times in the past.  

 

Life is hard when you try to do it all on your own!  That’s why Jesus said to cast all your cares on Him, because He cares for you!  He can do what we can’t do.  He can change an impossible situation into a beautiful thing!  He can bring joy into a sorrowful event.  He can comfort you when you are in despair.  

I was talking with someone the other day and asked how they were doing.  Things have been sad for them lately.  Their reply was disconcerting to me.  They responded, “I keep tryin’ to kick the bucket, but God won’t let me.”  

I responded back by saying, ” Yeah, I tried to kick the bucket right out from under myself a few times, but He wouldn’t let me either…but I’m so glad, because now I have you!”

 

My past was full of heartache.  Full of despair.  I tried several times to commit suicide, but I kept hearing someone call my name.  Sometimes it was a whisper, sometimes it was loud like thunder; but this voice was persistent, It would not let me proceed with my plan of kickin’ the bucket!  It was Jesus calling my name.  Thank God for His mercy!

 

If you find yourself in that place right now, you need to know that Jesus is calling your name.  He can fix any problem you have.  He can change your situation for the better.

 

Run to Him!  Lay your burdens down and cast all your worries and cares on Him, because He cares for you!
