WHOLE HEARTED

By Anita Mondragon
Every promise I have drawn from my Promise Box lately, has been about standing firm in the Lord, a shifting in the Spirit, a sifting…change…moving forward, for the Kingdom of God.  Even the sermons from the pulpit lately have had an emphasis on serving God with your whole heart

Here are some verses that come to mind:

“Be strong and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.”  I Chron. 22:13

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.”  Eph. 6:10

“Wherefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”  Eph. 6:13

But, in order for us to stand fast, we have to be totally committed…committed to God and His service, with our WHOLE HEART!

John Eldridge wrote: “The story of your life, is the story of the long and brutal assault on your heart by the one who knows what you COULD be…and fears it!”

William Gurnall said: “It is the image of God reflected in you that so enrages hell;  It is this at which the demons hurl their mightiest weapons.”

Years ago, I wrote a poem called, “Whole Hearted”.  Here is a small piece of that poem.

“…So, how can we stop him? (the devil)  Just KNOW who you are!

Stand on your feet soldier!  You’ve been born into war.

The hour is late, and your Captain (Jesus) needs you…

So much hangs in the balance.  Will you come through?

Are you ready for battle?  Will you just do YOUR part?

Now look in the mirror soldier, and then tell me…

WHERE’S YOUR HEART?
