The love I knew is no more.  Broken promises are what’s left – mine and his.  Fear, anxiety, worthlessness, disconnect and an overwhelming and confused feeling have quickly joined the bitterness in my soul.

The means to escape this valley of death to my purpose and worth is nowhere near.  Until at last a ray of light broke through the darkness.  Hope showed me the way out of that dark and lonely hole.

The warmest most loving hand lifted me to my feet. “I’ll never leave you.  My promises are true.  I’ll be your Father and Friend.  I’ll be your Companion and Husband too.”

“My name is Jesus.  I’m here for you.  I’m here to heal, free and restore your soul to a relationship with your eternal Father.  He will fill the void in your life with good things and set your feet on the right path for you.  He will give you an abundant life.  You are no longer alone.”

 A life that has been broken into pieces will be scattered about by the wind.  We can choose to stay in those pieces to be tossed this way and that way, or trust God to change us into vessels of honor and purpose.

We don’t have to search this world for love, security or companionship only to be disappointed again.  Only One Love will accept you as you are.  Only One Love can give you worth.  Only One Love is able to keep His promises.  Only One Love will remain forevermore.  Only One Love can fill the longing in your soul.  Only One Love can mend your brokenness and help you live and love again.
