0 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord.
11 And they said unto Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? Wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
12 Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.’”
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to- day, ye shall see them again no more forever. -Exodus 14:10-13
14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

My son Joel and I were talking about some things this morning…. He was up at 6:15! UGGG! He was in the mood to talk-so I listened.
He asked if I would be alive to see my great, great grand babies. I said I really didn’t think so since I’m already a senior.
He then said that he probably wouldn’t get very old…that he would most likely die of Cancer. I was shocked!

I wrote this poem years ago for my son Micah Mondragon. He was in grade school at the time. Here’s my little note to him, and the poem that followed.-anita

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. -Isaiah 59:19

….NO! I didn’t make a mistake on the title of this blog…I purposefully did not capitalize the first word, he. he doesn’t deserve the dignity it implies. I know you’re confused now…so read on….

Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it. Then he went up to the temple of the LORD and spread it out before the LORD. Isaiah 37:1
In my distress I called upon the Lord,
And cried out to my God;
He heard my voice from His temple,
And my cry came before Him, even to His ears. Psalm 18:6

We watched a movie last night, called, “Southpaw”. It was written by Kurt Sutter. Here’s what he had to say about its origin.
Sutter’s script follows a welterweight boxing champion (Eminem) whose life is upended when tragedy strikes…“In a way, this is a continuation of the 8 Mile story, but rather than a literal biography, we are doing a metaphorical narrative of the second chapter of his life. He’ll play a world champion boxer who really hits a hard bottom, and has to fight to win back his life for his young daughter. At its core, this is a retelling of his struggles over the last five years of his life, using the boxing analogy. I love that the title refers to [Eminem] being a lefty, which is to boxing what a white rapper is to hip hop; dangerous, unwanted and completely unorthodox. It’s a much harder road for a southpaw than a right-handed boxer.”…the real-life element adds a nice layer to the drama.

I was a little on the sad side yesterday…just going through some personal things with kids. I guess it showed all over my face when my husband arrived home. I couldn’t even share what I felt at that moment. He understood, and did not press me.

Have you ever felt that the things going on in your life are a mistake? …That God’s personal secretary must have pulled the wrong file folder? Because the “Plan” that’s playing out in your life, MUST belong to someone else!

For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. –Romans 10:23
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.-Matthew 23:25-28
