TAKE COURAGE!

By Anita Mondragon

He cares about us…we matter to Him;

When days are bright, or when they’re dim.

We’re always on His mind, and ever in His thoughts,

And all the plans He has for us, are with much consideration fraught!

For those gone on before, now stand before the Lamb…

In spotless robes of white, before the Great I Am.

They fought to win the prize; some, martyrs they became,

While burning in the fire, they still dared to speak His name!

They stood up for the Cross…they did not die in ease!

They faced the fury of Hell’s gates, and sailed through bloody seas.

They fought the fight, and kept the faith, and held His banner high;

And while dying for His cause, they never questioned “Why?”

So soldiers of the King, must now, new courage take…

For the storms we do so dread, full of mercies soon will break!

THE NURSERY WINDOW

By Anita Mondragon
I believe the spirit part of every man exists in Heaven before he becomes flesh here on earth…hence, the nursery window.  God knows us before we are formed in our mother’s womb, and He places His purpose in us, as well as our gifts, abilities, etc.  That’s why He could say: “I KNOW the plans I have for you…”  Just a thought…just an opinion. -anita

ANYTHING GOES

THE ROCK OF AGES

By Anita Mondragon

“Other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”  1 Cor. 3:11

“When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace; In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil.  On Christ the solid Rock I stand; all other ground is sinking sand…” – Edward Mote, 1834 / William B. Bradbury, 1863

**************************************************************************************

I sometimes tremble so faint of heart,

Though on the solid Rock I stand;

And while the tempest rages wild around me,

I’m held secure in the Father’s hand.

Though on the Rock, I sometimes tremble,

As the storm clouds of life are all I can see,

He says, “Hold fast to the Rock of Ages…”

And He NEVER trembles under me!

He’s always with me,

Come rain, or shine;

In the cleft of the rock,

He comforts me.

He covers me there,

With His mighty hand,

And reminds me,

I’ve been set free!

Though I shudder and shake,

And shiver from fear…

I’m held in the palm of His hand.

I’m ever secure, when within HIS grasp…

As on the Rock of Ages, I stand!

I JUST WANT TO COME HOME!

By Anita Mondragon
Well…here we are, almost at the end of the second month of 2020.  I made a list of several things I wanted to do differently this year.  Things like:  Changing my diet and exercising more, was of course in there, but other things came to mind as well.  Things like, smiling more, being more kind and humble, really looking at people with God’s eyes and seeing their hurt, sharing Jesus more; then one thing really stuck out in my mind–giving up! SHINE!

By Anita Mondragon

I drew this promise from my box this morning….

“God…hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Jesus Christ.”  -2 Corinthians 4:6

So…what does that look like?  How do we ‘give the light’?  Read more…

NOT OF THIS WORLD…

By Anita Mondragon

The other day, I was watching a TV show and heard a very profound statement.  It said this:

“This world is not real….  It’s only a shadow of what’s to come!”

WINDSOCK CHRISTIANITY

By Anita Mondragon

We’ve all seen them around town.  They attract attention to businesses.  They are long, bright colored tubes with faces and arms.  When the power of the blower (wind machine) is turned on, they beacon folks to come in.   They are inviting.

But to be a windsock Christian is a distraction!  Christians are supposed to be stable, confident, and steadfast!  So I ask you… Read more…

ANOTHER DAVID…

By Anita Mondragon

Our Worship service at the Mission on Saturday was such a blessing!  Praying for folks with all kinds of requests.  I was amazed when I realized that none of them asked for prayer regarding their homeless estate.  They were praying for others-family members, friends, strength to witness…it was a real eye-opener to me.
